Nordic Bond Pricing AS (“NBP”), a provider of evaluated bond pricing and index services in the Nordic region, is proud to announce the launch of its new NBP Swedish Regular Market Aggregated Index (“SERM”).
SERM is an aggregated market capitalized index consisting of Swedish krona (SEK) denominated securities. It has been designed to provide a representative picture of the Swedish krona regular bond market composition and performance over time. In NBP’s family of indices it will be joining its older brother, the NBP Norwegian Regular Market Aggregated Index (“NORM”), launched back in 2017.
Pål Jonassen, senior index analyst with NBP, comments:
“The launch of the new Swedish krona market index product has been in the making for some time. First and foremost, it has been made possible by the coverage expansion of the NBP evaluated pricing service for Swedish krona securities. It is key a representative market index is fueled by a pricing source of the highest quality to ensure the index reflects what market participants expect it should reflect.
Over the past few years, we have continued to expand our portfolio of Swedish evaluated pricing data customers, hence the launch of SERM comes very natural as many of these customers have expressed a need for more and better quality Swedish investment grade indices.
SERM is a broad market index designed as a “mother of many children” index. We are working closely with market participants and customers to design upcoming SERM sub-indices to help provide the independent benchmark indices customers are missing today.”
